Executive

Emma Priestley

Chief Executive Officer


Emma has a background in mining and financial services having worked with mining companies and consultants, IMC Mackay & Schnellmann, investment bank CSFB, advisers VSA Resources, Ambrian Partners, where she worked as corporate broker and adviser, and most recently as an executive director of Lonrho Plc until its successful takeover. Emma is a graduate of Camborne School of Mines, is a chartered Mining Engineer and Chartered Mineral Surveyor.

Bill Trew

Non-Executive Chairman


Bill has over 35 years’ experience in the engineering and mining industry serving as a director of a number of mining companies, both public and private. In 1986 he founded MAED Limited, a specialist project management and engineering design company which has designed and constructed 23 gold processing plants around the globe. He was Chief Executive Officer of Oxus Gold plc, where he oversaw construction of three new gold mines and has held a number of other executive and non-executive roles at listed and private mining companies. He is currently chairman of MAED and a director of Gold Mines of Uganda and Paracale Gold Limited. He holds a B.Eng. Hon. In Mechanics from the University of Wales and an M.Eng. from Rand Afrikaans University, Johannesburg.

Mr Trew is a director and shareholder of Paracale Gold Limited, which currently holds 70,352,377 ordinary shares in Goldstone representing 28.17% of its currently issued share capital.

Angela List

Non-Executive Director


Angela is Executive Director of the BCM Group, in charge of Finance and Administration. Prior to this she was a member of the KPMG Ghana Limited audit team, where she successfully carried out audits of major Ghanaian companies, multinational corporations and International banks. With the BCM Group, Angela has successfully expanded its activities into West and East Africa and Central Asia, to become one of Africa’s largest private contract miners.

Angela holds a BSc in Administration (Accounting Option) from the University of Ghana, a Masters Degree from the Manchester Executive MBA and completed the PLD program at Harvard University, to become a Harvard Alumni.

Mrs List is a director of BCM Investment Limited (“BCM”), which currently holds 50,000,000 ordinary shares in Goldstone representing 20.02% of its currently issued share capital. BCM is part of the wider BCM Group of companies.

Richard Wilkins

Independent Non-Executive Director


Richard is a graduate of Pembroke College, Oxford University, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand, he worked in their London and Cairo offices until moving into private business. Richard has considerable experience in emerging markets and the natural resources sector having been a founding director of the Zeravshan Gold Co. (Nelson Gold Group – TSX) in Tajikistan in 1994 and co-founder of the Oxus Gold Group of which he was a director from 1996 to 2017. Oxus produced over 500,000oz. Au from the Amantaytau Goldfields Mine in Uzbekistan.

Richard Lloyd

Independent Non-Executive Director


Richard is an Investment Banking executive with over 17 years’ experience and is currently with the Price Forbes Global Metals and Mining team. Prior to Price Forbes, Richard was a Director in the Resources, Energy Infrastructure team at ANZ London heading the Metals and Mining team, having joined from Commerzbank AG where he ran a Corporate Finance Advisory division.

Richard has also held senior positions at Dresdner Kleinwort, Financial Security Assurance UK Ltd and Standard Bank. Richard began his career as a mining geologist, having worked on projects in Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru and Zimbabwe, as well as deep level gold mining with Anglogold Ashanti in South Africa. Richard holds a BSc (Hons) in Mining Geology and A.R.S.M and an M.Sc. in Mineral Deposit Appraisal from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College London. Further postgraduate studies were undertaken at London Business School.

Darryl Norton

Chief Operating Officer


Darryl has 35 years of experience in the mining industry internationally, particularly in Africa, the Former Soviet Union & South East Asia. He has significant experience in the Gold mining industry and is also experienced at managing mines and mining projects in difficult locations. Darryl has been an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of two London listed companies (KazakhGold – main market listing; Oxus Gold – AIM listing). He has also been Projects Director for MAED and other associated companies for over 28 years where he led major projects for gold mining companies such as Apex Mining, Paracale Gold, Gold Mines of Uganda, Oxus Gold, Anglogold, Randgold Resources, Durban Roodepoort Deep. After university, Darryl began work on operations at Unisel Gold Mine in South Africa with Gencor. He has worked on capital projects for Gencor, Fluor, TWP and EL Bateman.
